Elena Kalmykova

Elena Kalmykova, postdoctoral Marie Curie Fellow, is guest researcher at the CRS in February and March 2018 

Elena Kalmykova is a postdoctoral Marie Curie Fellow, with a main interest in phenomenology and embodied approaches to religion. Through her research work she is striving to bring together the best of both analytic and continental philosophic traditions. In addition, she is interested in sciences and use the data of cognitive science of religion and neuroscience in philosophical investigations. 

Her current project "Bridging Belief and Practice" aims to bridge the gap between theoretical and empirical studies of religion. With an interdisciplinary background as BC in Oriental Studies, MS in Religious Studies and PhD in Philosophy of Religion she has a firsthand knowledge of the disparate practices and methods of both empirical studies of religion and philosophy of religion, which she applies in this work.

Oliver Li

Oliver Li arbetar med projektet  "En filosofisk analys av kunskapsteoretiska och ontologiska påståenden inom antroposofin."
Han tilldelades nyligen ett stipendium från Axel Margaret Ax:son Johnsons stiftelse. Stipendiumet är på 200 000 kr och gäller för ett år.

Seth Epstein

Seth Epstein is a historian interested in the relationship of tolerance to issues of power, race, and religion, both in the contemporary world and in the Jim Crow urban U.S. South between the late 19th and mid 20th centuries/first half of the twentieth century. His ongoing research includes the role of religion in climate change activism as well as a study of North Carolina’s segregated social welfare department between 1925 and 1950.
