Human Rights and Religion
The aim is to investigate the relations between religion and human rights by studying if and how the attitudes towards human rights among senior high school students are affected by their religious attitudes and behaviour, controlled for socioeconomic differences. This study is the Swedish part of a cross cultural programme involving 15 countries.
An outcome of the project is that Sjöborg is now involved in developing the second wave of data collection as a member of the international coordination group for Religion and Human Rights program. In all, over 25 countries are planned to be included in the project which is of both theoretical and societal relevance. The Swedish participation in this second wave is also supported by the IMPACT program in its second phase 2013-2015.
